It is a co-educational Catholic school, founded in 1863 by Dom Charles Cocherel, a Benedictine monk. It provides secondary education for boys and girls aged 11 to 18, as well as a Sixth Form. The school is set in 35 acres of beautiful countryside in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers students a range of activities and trips, both in the UK and abroad. The curriculum includes a strong focus on the humanities and sciences, with additional courses in the arts, sport and physical education. The school provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities, such as music and drama, and offers outstanding pastoral care.
