The college uses a holistic approach to ensure that its students are able to lead independent and meaningful lives. Derwen College offers academic, practical and independent living skills to help prepare students for adult life, including an equine therapy programme and personalised support. The college is set in the beautiful countryside of north Shropshire and has modern, well-equipped facilities including specialist classrooms, a library, an art studio and a sensory room. It also offers residential accommodation for up to 33 students and has an active student association.*
